This weeks blog topic is pretty easy to sum up. SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is expensive because… “experts” can get away with charging that much. The whole field is still just new enough that shrewd players can charge top dollar for their services. Unfortunately, it’s up to the purchaser to ensure they get their money’s worth.

And good SEO is definitely worth the money. A high ranking on Google is essential to conducting a successful business these days, and SEO is how you get there. But not every SEO service provider is going to give you value for money.

Many SEO companies will try to sell you a comprehensive SEO package.

And you may need it, I don’t know. It depends on a few things such as what you’re hoping to achieve, what you sell, what your competitors are up to, and mainly, where you currently rank on Google.

You might not need any external SEO services at all. Depending on your industry, it might be possible to rank high on Google with no (or at least very little) help. With just the slightest amount of knowledge, you can write a weekly, SEO powerful blog, and this might be enough to get you on Google’s page one.

I can provide you with this knowledge too. And I’m happy to share it at no charge. Just contact me here and I can get you started. It can be easier than you think, and as with most things, practice makes perfect.

But, if your search engine optimisation needs are a little more involved, you’re going to need a specialist. And that’s where the money’s going to come into play. If you like, I can recommend some great operators.

Whatever you do though, don’t do nothing.

Sitting back while your competition gets their Google ranking buff, is going to hurt you bad later on. You need to be the one leading the pack.
